The problem
A B2B commerce platform serving 500+ retailers and merchants needed a front end that stayed fast as catalog and order data grew.
What I built
Built the front end in Next.js 14, TypeScript, Redux, and TailwindCSS, with a modular structure for shared commerce screens.
Used the App Router and React Server Components for server rendering and real-time data sync.
Connected the front end to Node.js and PostgreSQL APIs.
Automated the AWS release path, cutting release cycles by 50%.
Front-end path
- Next.js App Router
- Redux state
- Commerce APIs
- AWS release
Decisions
Server rendering for catalog pages, with client state only where interaction needed it.
Shared components for repeated merchant workflows.
Release automation instead of manual deploys.
Scope
I led the front end and worked with backend engineers on the API contract. The credit, underwriting, and distributor operations systems were outside my scope.
Team context
The platform is part of Kifiya's Che retail ecosystem, which connects manufacturers, distributors, and retailers with commerce, credit, and payment services.
Result
Page loads fell 30%, merchant adoption rose 25%, and releases shipped 50% faster.
